Activities

Some of the regularly scheduled  services and activities are:

Ladies Meetings:  The ladies meet the  second Tuesday of every month (August—May) except December at 7:00 p.m.  During each meeting there is a time for field trip signups, announcements, refreshments, and usually a special speaker or topic.  The ladies find these meetings to be practical, encouraging, and vital to their roles as home educators.

Newcomer & New-to-Homeschooling Functions:  These events vary during the year but always provide information as well as fellowship and fun.  These are led by veteran homeschoolers who are always willing to answer questions about curriculum, resources, schedules and any other things that new homeschoolers need addressed.

Co-op:  All CHEER members are welcome to enroll their school-age children in a variety of classes held 8-16 weeks in the Fall and Spring semesters.  Classes are usually held on Monday afternoons.  Fees vary.

Mom’s Night Out:  Moms meet monthly (September—May) at a local restaurant for food and fellowship.

Field Trips/Service Projects/Parties Field trips, service projects or activities are scheduled monthly. A few of the field trips that CHEER has had in the past are: Apple Orchard, Safari, Observatory, Tulsa Space and Air Museum, Fire Station, Police Station, Tulsa Court House, Tulsa Tunnels, Reasors,  Jim Davis Gun Museum, Fort Gibson, KXOJ Radio Station, Tulsa World, Will Rogers Museum, Five Civilized Tribes Museum, National Weather Service, ORU, TCC, Harn Homestead, Cowboy Hall of Fame, Rogers County Reserve...

Teen Activities Teens have numerous opportunities to get together for fun and service through activities designed just for them.
