CHEER Co-Op exists to provide a safe, supportive community for eligible CHEER members and their families where they work together to provide academic and elective classes for their children.
CHEER is a true co-operative, and not a drop-off program.
The following serves as a general guide to our co-op classes. While offerings may vary each year as the Lord provides teachers, we strive to include at least one class from each of these academic areas.
Elementary:
PE
Science (varies, past examples- Botany, Anatomy, Earth Science, Animals)
Social Studies (history, geography, etc.)
Art or other hands-on craft-type class
Variety of electives (past examples- Music, JA BizTown, Book Club)
Middle School:
Writing
Science (varies, past examples- Anatomy, Forensics, Physics & Chemistry, Earth Science, Intro to Engineering, Science in the Atomic Age)
PE
Social Studies (history, geography, etc.)
Variety of electives (past examples- JA BizTown, Art, Music, Mock Trial, Sewing)
High School:
Writing (Composition and/or Literature)
Social Studies (history, apologetics, etc.)
Biology, with labs
Physical Science, with labs
Chemistry, with labs (every other year)
Physics, with labs (every other year)
Variety of electives (past examples- Photography, Yearbook, Mock Trial, Foreign Language, Finance, Speech, Economics)
