- BEFORE JOINING AND BEING APPROVED:
1. ATTEND ONE MEETING/FELLOWSHIP: Which could include: A Ladies Meeting or a Ladies Fellowship.
With Steering approval, we do allow a student activity visit before deciding to join. This allows families the opportunity to meet before committing.
*This does NOT count as meeting/fellowship attendance towards membership.
**For Student Activities: We want to give families the ability to meet CHEER families in a casual setting, where parents will stay, and their children can interact in an event and make connections. A visiting parent MUST stay with their child(ren) during the event. A Liability Waiver must also be signed before attendance. During the summer months, please "Contact" us for summer details, or check our event calendar. Please, only 1 Student Activity per visitor.
2. ATTEND A VISITOR 101 ORIENTATION: Occurs before each Ladies Meeting/Fellowship at 6:30PM. During the summer months, orientation will be given by a Steering leader over the phone or face-to-face.
3. READ OUR PARENT HANDBOOK: And agree with the "Statement of Faith. After joining, you will have access to sign a Release of Liability form.
4. CHOSE A TEAM WITHIN OUR GROUP TO SERVE: It takes everyone doing their part to have an effective organization! To review our teams and their jobs, click the TEAMS button below. You will have the opportunity to select your team when you request membership.
5. REQUEST MEMBERSHIP: Click on JOIN NOW and complete the application. You will receive a notification when your request is approved.
- AFTER MEMBERSHIP APPROVAL:
1. MAKE MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT: You will be sent a Membership Dues invoice on our website (top right after you log in). Pay the $50.00 membership fee (or a prorated fee if you join during the school year). Payments are made through the secure PayPal service. (In-person payment by check or cash - exact amount only please - is an alternative option if preferred.)
2. You and your family may begin to regularly attend any CHEER-wide activities/events or student activities/events that match your students' age/grade levels.
***ALL MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO BE IN GOOD STANDING, WHICH IS DEFINED AS:
- Attend 2 Ladies Meetings and/or Fellowships
- Be actively serving on your team
- Abide by the CHEER Handbook and Policies
