Mrs. Julie Cox To All Instructors

Hello, my name is Julie Cox.  My husband, Brent, and I have been married for over thirty years, and we have four girls – all of whom were homeschooled from kindergarten through twelfth grade.  We also have two sons-in-law and five granddaughters.  I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood from John Brown University in 1994.  Over the past thirty years, I have had a variety of opportunities to teach a wide range of ages and subjects from two year-olds through twelfth graders as a preschool teacher, a Classical Conversations Foundations and Essentials tutor and Challenge director, a paid tutor at Aspire Academy, a private tutor, and a volunteer in several homeschooling co-ops. I am a certified IEW instructor through Classical Conversations and have taught several IEW classes over the past fifteen years.  Over the past ten years, I have also taken a deeper dive into literature studies and have developed a love of classic literature and the literary tradition. I have a passion for learning and hope to inspire that same passion of learning within homeschooling students.
